When the Daffodils Bloom Again

As the new century dawns in the Welsh mining village of Cwmbran, the Rees family faces many difficulties. When Davey Rees elopes with Verity Morgan, the colliery owner's daughter, the family stands to lose their home and livelihood. Meanwhile, Davey's sister Gwen loves Bryn Edwards, headmaster of the school where she teaches. Her hopes are dashed when he leaves Cwmbran to take up a teaching post in rural Canada.
