(2026)(Book 12 in the Paisley Penrose Cozy Mystery series)
A novel by Cheryl Marlow
A missing sculptor. A dead body. And a cryptic clue hidden in plain sight.
When sculptor Travis Bennett fails to appear for the awards presentation after the annual beachside sand sculpture competition, everyone assumes he's off celebrating.
Hours later, his body washes ashore.
As a guest judge, innkeeper Paisley Penrose was one of the last people to speak with Travis and can’t ignore the questions surrounding his death.
Joined by her loyal Labradoodle, Noodle, the Shoreline Circle, and Detective Grant Halloway, Paisley uncovers a growing list of suspects. Travis's younger sister, Emily Bennett, clashed with him over the family business. Fellow competitor Gavin Rhodes resented Travis's artistic success and vied for his girlfriend’s attention.
But the more Paisley investigates, the more she’s convinced Travis left behindone final clue, hidden in plain sight, that could explain why someone wanted him dead.
Now she's racing to solve it before the killer does, and before he buries the truth—and Paisley—forever.
