Out of the Shadows

It's the middle of October in Bellingwood and as Sycamore House prepares for Halloween, Polly finds herself embroiled in another mystery.Her kidnapper - Joey Delancy - has just been sentenced to prison.The trial was tough and Polly's memories haunt her while she sleeps. There's no time to wallow in that, though; her family and friends need her. Heath is locked in a shell that he desperately wants to crack through, but so far the only one allowed inside is Rebecca. Polly and Henry knew Rebecca would be a handful and she's proving that to be true. From her burgeoning relationship with Andrew, to standing up to bullies, Rebecca is wading right into adolescence with both feet.Like every other small town, Bellingwood is filled with interesting people and Polly meets more friends along the way. Tales of a haunted house in town escaped her notice until this year. Along with everything else. Polly isn't quite sure what to do with Rebecca's insistence that she saw the ghost - especially when she sketches it in great detail.Polly has to find the truth and we all know it won't be easy.
