Bound by Dark Waters: Wed
(2021)(The second book in the Beyond the God Sea series)
A novel by Elora Morgan
Promised to a strange prince
Forced toward an arranged marriage, the chosen braenese has a new enemy and he's not at all like the boy who washed ashore in Elowa. This one hates her before she even sets foot upon his sand.
Bound for a strange land
To survive, Zaria must learn the ways of this new world and fight alongside its people. She’ll need to gather as many assets as she can to help her escape back to Kirwyn. Did he find his boat that fateful night... or did he meet his doom at the bottom of the ocean?
Eluding two powerful brothers
If navigating court politics isn’t tricky enough, outmaneuvering the prince determined to dispose of her, as well as the one set upon marrying her, proves downright deadly. To her surprise, it’s not her betrothed who poses the biggest threat -- it’s his cruel and overprotective brother.
One boy to marry, one boy to battle, and one to steal her back...
...she hopes.

Excerpt:
He cocked a one-sided grin. “Do I make you nervous?”
“No. Yes.” I scoffed, “Who wouldn’t be with someone staring at them while they ate?”
Juls leaned forward, his hair swaying with the act. A smile still played at his full lips. I noticed he had long, dark lashes.
"Would it make you less nervous if I told you that you make me nervous too? You’re very beautiful, you know.”
I let out a sound that reminded me of the horses in the marketplace. “You’re difficult to dislike.”
He tilted his head, but the grin hadn’t faded. “Are you determined to dislike me?”
I looked at my lap, blushing, then immediately scowled at myself. I was being forced into an arranged marriage everyone curiously refused to talk about. Wasn’t it only natural I wanted to rip him and his family to pieces? Wasn’t that the normal reaction? What right did he have to think I’d be persuaded to love him? A king’s right?
A king’s arrogance was more like it.
“Your brother is determined to dislike me,” I lobbed. Lazlian’s calculating glare flashed so strongly in my mind, I shivered at the memory.
