Amanda Miller is fraught with worry, and now everything she thinks she knows is crumbling down around her. She continues to go to work, looking for any normalcy, if not answers, even after her sister Martha forbids it which only adds to the problems and furthering the mystery and Danny and his father.

But she's desperate to know why her sister forbids it. What has Martha kept secret for so long? Now that it's out that there IS a secret, Amanda won't rest until she discovers the past that others may want left buried. Yet not all feel the same way, and that could help dig out the truth.

All she can do is lean on her boyfriend for support. But will he still support her as she grows closer to the strange new English boy at work with the relationship they're starting to have? Even if they're just friends? The Amish are human too, and jealousy will rear its ugly head for anyone.

Too much weighs on her heart and mind, but she forges ahead to get some closure, both for herself, and her family despite the risks. But that may lead to change and revelations she's not ready to hear. Or her sister ready to tell.
