Life is great for The October Horses team; new project horses are arriving, new working students are moving in, and so far, their adoption program for retired racehorses has been a complete success. Well, almost.
The nervous little horse, Follow, who arrived with so much baggage, has won Bree’s heart, but the mare’s increasingly erratic behaviour has become downright dangerous.
When tragedy strikes, Bree can’t help but blame herself and wonder if she’s really cut out for the realities of the horse world.
So, when she and Nicholas are invited to spend the holidays at a much-different stable halfway around the world in Scotland, Bree jumps at the chance. Maybe it’s just the escape she needs to forget everything that happened. Or maybe it’s an opportunity to start over once again.
