Once a year, new university graduates gather to learn whom the Gods have chosen to Bless as Alpha or Omega, granting them shifted forms before they enroll in the Institute and learn their place in society. Zoe is relieved to feel no shift overtake her during the ceremony and accepts her new designation with relief.

Except that when Zoe placed her hand on the stone of the Fire Goddess during the ceremony, a voice whispered in her ear, calling her an Omega and swearing her to secrecy.

It shouldn’t be possible. The Fire Goddess has been silent for generations. It must have been the ramblings of her nervous mind speaking in her ear, calling out her fear of being designated as an Omega.

Things are easy at the Institute, if she ignores the changes in her body, the Alpha who is convinced she’s an Omega, and the one who thinks she’s wearing synthetic pheromones.

Harder to ignore is her stalker. But he’s harmless, right?

When the Fire Goddess speaks to Zoe and begs for help, Zoe is conscripted into something much bigger than her, and she must come to terms with her new reality before it’s too late.
