Carrie turns, as the door creaks open, and stands facing the killer ...

Three teenagers, camping in Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk one dark and windy Halloween night, spend their evening drinking and smoking and sharing scary stories. Then, one of them goes into the bushes and comes across a bone protruding from the ground.

DC Georgia Carrie is part of the cold case team at Suffolk Constabulary, and is first on the crime scene, uncovering three bags of human bones.

The investigation twists this way and that as they first uncover the victim, a teenage boy who went missing from nearby Woodbridge twenty years ago, and then discover the suspects who wished him dead.

Can Carrie and her police colleagues bring the killer to justice for this and other related crimes over the years? It’s a race against time before the killer strikes again …

Bags Of Bones is the second book in Iain Maitland’s DC Georgia Carrie Thrillers series set in East Anglia, England.

Readers of Iain Maitland also enjoy Jack Cartwright, Simon McCleave, J M Dalgliesh, and L J Ross.
