Falconer and the Rain of Blood

Oxford, 1275 AD: a town in self-imposed quarantine, running out of food and living in fear of a lethal disease and of ancient prophecies which seem to be coming true, prophecies which may be pure superstition or might just refer to the very practical problems facing King Edward I. Either way, it means there will be trouble for Oxford and its university. It begins with the theft of books, but murder and political intrigue follow and it becomes clear that the plague is not the only killer operating within the gates.

Only one man is capable of keeping the fear at bay and tracking down a ruthless murderer before he too becomes a victim.
