The Unexpected Fellowship
(2027)(The third book in the Crownlocked Heirs series)
A novel by Jamie McFarlane
Rebuilding one kingdom was hard enough. Saving two will take a wizard, a dragon, and one very unexpected fellowship.
Jonas Breivik is finally rebuilding his ruined kingdom when two assassins snatch him from his girlfriend’s house on Earth and deliver him to Florian Tieg—the dragon king who leveled Breivikton and intends to make its last heir kneel.
Escaping Tieg only lands Jonas deeper in Bjargfold. Before he can return home, he must survive an abandoned artificer’s labyrinth, take on a trio of stone trolls, and gain the skills to turn a frozen ruin into a functioning town. Every quest makes him stronger. Every success gives Tieg another reason to finish him.
Then a dragon arrives asking for help.
Theodore Kieten is another Earth-born prince, and his aerie is under siege by the same enemy. An alliance could save them both—but it will bind Jonas to a ruler he has never met and a fight neither young prince is ready for.
With their companions beside them, the wizard prince and the dragon prince must learn to trust each other before Tieg’s armies close in. If their unexpected fellowship fails, Bjargfold may lose two kingdoms—and its best chance to stop a tyrant.
The Unexpected Fellowship is the third book in the Crownlocked Heirs series, a humorous LitRPG adventure packed with dangerous quests, kingdom building, loyal companions, and dragons who take diplomacy personally.
