The curse nearly killed Ryan, king of Grimm Hollow's Shifters. The lion was too strong to die, but only just. Since that night, he's languished, slowly wasting away, unable to awaken and rebuild himself and unable to provide strength for his kind, who are losing hope of his revival.
Much like the Vampire princess.
All malicious magic can be countered, but time is running out for the king as his strength wanes to the point of no return. Rivan won’t let that happen, especially if it gives him hope that he could awaken Princess Nera, and now he has friends who want the same thing.
