Every Path Leads to Deception

When renowned maze architect Lawrence Gilbert unveils his revolutionary Celtic knot design at Enigma Grove's annual Labyrinth Gardens Festival, puzzle shop owner Tillie Maze expects nothing more than an exciting town event. But celebration turns to horror when festival coordinator Julia Winters discovers the body of Lawrence's assistant, Cameron Reed, hidden at the maze's center—killed with a decorative garden trowel bearing the same Celtic knot pattern as the maze itself.

As Detective Jax Riddler investigates, Tillie notices something peculiar: the killer navigated the maze using a specific algorithm rather than the intended path. With help from her friends—locksmith Ollie Keys, café owner Iris Tanaka, and teenage puzzle prodigies Felix and Fiona Finch—Tillie uncovers a web of deception involving stolen designs, lucrative contracts, and uncredited collaborators. When a hidden foundation stone bearing an ancient Celtic pattern goes missing, Tillie realizes Cameron was killed to prevent him from revealing the truth about the maze's disputed origins.

Racing against time, Tillie sets a trap using the maze's central mechanical feature—the same one Cameron designed to expose the truth. But in a garden designed to confuse and misdirect, distinguishing friends from enemies proves as challenging as solving the murder itself. Tillie must navigate a treacherous path of professional jealousy and corporate greed to catch a killer who left their signature hidden in the very walkways of the maze.
