The Eighty-Nine Pennies of Emma Jones

Emma longs for a puppy, so one morning she empties her moneybox and goes to Mr Lyn's very peculiar pet-shop and buys a small lizard. It grows at an astonishing rate until, when it sprouts wings, Emma realizes she has a problem. Mr Nowell, the milkman, recognizes it as a fire-eating dragon.
