Boyfriend Contract

Conrad Ripley is a gorgeous hockey player at my high school. He also used to be my best guy friend (aka: secret crush) until he rejected me and my lame attempt to finally get out of the "friend zone." Let me tell you, it was awkward. After that we barely talked for a whole year - though we had signed a contract and everything when we were twelve - "Best Friends Forever." Then out of nowhere, he moved away without even telling me goodbye - ouch! However, now he's back. Only he didn't even tell me! I accidentally ran into him - that's how I had to find out - and then I almost did a face-plant because, oh my gosh - he's even hotter. (Didn't realize that was even possible.) But yeah, he's smokin' hot. But if my annoyingly gorgeous fist love thinks I'm going back into the friend zone - no way! Unrequited love hurts. So I hired a fake boyfriend. A hot one that will keep me distracted, and keep Conrad on his toes and at a safe "friendly" distance (and maybe even jealous??). Nothing can go wrong with this plan, right? Wrong! My hot fake-boyfriend seems to keep forgetting we're fake. This is NOT helping my tortured teenage heart, it's doing quite the opposite, and it's not doing much for my grades either - since it's hard to concentrate when your first love is suddenly looking at you like he wants out of the friend zone too. BUT he's now dating a cheerleader ... so excuse me while I bash my head through a wall, and apply for a heart transplant (and an eye transplant too - since I want to poke out my eyeballs from seeing them together.)
