When the paladin Ginnevra and her werewolf companion Eodan hunt down a ring of child slavers, they expect blood and justice—not a terrified child whose impossible magic hasn’t been seen in centuries. Neither monster nor fully human, she is already being hunted by a desperate man willing to destroy her to save an innocent life.
To learn who she is and return her to her people, Ginnevra and Eodan must cross a continent of dangers, secrets, and enemies who will stop at nothing to claim the child. But as Ginnevra’s bond with the girl deepens and the thought of keeping her takes root, the sworn servant of the Dark Goddess faces a choice she never imagined: keep her sacred oath… or abandon everything she is for the child who has already claimed her heart.
