At Home with the Templetons

(2010)
A novel by

The Templeton family and their stately manor home, in rural Victoria have long been the focus of local gossip. The family's sudden arrival from the UK in the late 1980's to reclaim the run-down colonial property was the talk of the town, as they turned the house into a living museum of the gold rush era and a successful tourist attraction, keeping the locals entertained and often shocked with their constant family dramas.

Their closest neighbours, Nina Donovan, a young widow and artist, and her son Tom, initially keep their distance but soon find themselves drawn into life at the Hall. Both Anita and Tom slowly fall for the allure of the charismatic Henry, his wife Eleanor, her troubled sister Hope and the four Templeton children - Charlotte, Audrey, Gracie and Spencer - until the Templetons leave the Hall to return to England under sudden, unexplained circumstances.

Eight years later, a relationship blossoms in London between the now nineteen-year-old Gracie and twenty-two-year old Tom - until a series of tragic events tear the two families apart.

A decade passes, then word spreads that two members of the Templeton family are returning to Templeton Hall. As Nina and Tom learn who is coming back and why, the stage is set for years of deceit, betrayal and heartbreak to finally be revealed and resolved.
