Not since his youth had he been intimate with a woman but the past weeks he knew he was close to splintering apart. When the young widow approached him, Race hadn’t made up his mind if he would take her up on her offer when the troublemaking brat interfered. In desperation, he went to a certain establishment to ease his frustration. Naked and waiting for the woman he had paid for he’d never been so humiliated in his life when who of all people should walk into the room but the troublemaking vixen. It became embarrassing when she continued to ogle him with such devouring interest, he cursed her and his bad luck. It was clear as usual she was neck-deep in trouble so to stop her ruining herself he became responsible for her. What he never expected was to find himself lusting after her but when she suggested they sample the goods who was he to deny himself yet he adamantly refused to believe that he’d been shot by cupid’s arrow.

Shocked to find the prude in a brothel but catching him naked had been such a glorious sight she’d been enthralled and stored every superb inch of him to memory. Because of him, she had to give up helping those poor women forced into prostitution and confess to her parents what she had been up to. When one of her friends was in trouble Shyalee knew he was the only one who could save the woman but it came at a cost and being in his debt she couldn’t refuse to help him. What she hadn’t taken into consideration was that sharing some intimacy with her would lead to her losing her heart to a prig who would settle for nothing else but a paragon for his wife. She knew though he was hiding his feelings for her and she was determined to make him admit them, if he didn’t she had no other choice but to admit defeat and walk away.
