The last year has been a time of change. I finished residency. Started as an attending physician. Discovered I had magic. Stopped a magical attack.
Ever since stopping a plan to destroy a vampire elder, I've known that I was in danger. Barden has arranged as much protection as he can, but I still want to live my life and practice medicine.
A power outage at the hospital makes work more complicated, but it's the return of John Adams to Minneapolis that really worries me. I'm caught in the middle and might be the only one able to stop what's planned, but in doing so, I can't help but think I'm doing exactly what they want. How can I focus on both medicine and magic at the same time?
