Another day. Another job. Another magical artifact that could destroy the world.
It should have been a simple job. Cross the Veil. Grab the item. Get paid. This time, the artifact wasn't where it should be.
When I'm sent after it, I find I'm not the only searching. Not only are the vampires after it, but there's an incredibly powerful dark mage who wants it.
A wand.
The more I understand about the wand, the more I think no one should have its power.
The only problem is now I've not got the Unseelie Queen after me - and it. There's only one reason someone like her would want the wand and that's to rule.
Either I've got to hide it from her, or I've got to control its power before it's too late.
