‘Good, his car is here,’ I panted as I crept upon his porch. ‘I hope he aint sleep.’
After a few moments of no one answering, my knocks turned into angry bangs of frustration. It was cold, and I was tired. I was so ready to burst out in tears, but I refused.
‘Open the damn door Martel!’ I screamed as loud as I could.
His bedroom was upstairs and in the back. So, after several more pounds, I went around the side to see if a light was on.
‘Oh, this motherfucker got candles burning and shit?’ I yelled as I noticed the flickering reflection bouncing off of the walls through the half opened curtains.
‘This shit aint happening right now! I should just go kick the damn door in like I’m the fuckin’ police!’ I shouted out in frustration as I went back to the front of the house.
By that time, I was feeling so damn stupid for continuing to go through the same crap that I was ready to give up. It definitely wasn’t worth it, but Martel was all I knew.
