When Elsa is called to do jury service at Hove Crown Court, she is hoping for drama, passion, court room battles. What she is not expecting is a case about a fight in a junk shop, with a jury from a zombie film. As the trial goes on, Elsa starts to suspect that the truth is not being told. The truth however turns out to be a very slippery thing, particularly in the hands of the young defendant, Bryn Sweetman who quite improperly, shows her some things that would never be admissible in court... Elsa soon finds herself embroiled in a sordid tale of carved pineapples, Black and Becker cordless drills and Malibu in the most unexpected places.
