Driftwood Justice
(2026)(The third book in the Johnny Irons Classic Western Adventure series)
A novel by Travis McGraw
Driftwood thought it had buried justice. Johnny Irons rides in to dig it up.
Driftwood is a haven for killers and thieves, a canyon town ruled by Bull Turner—a crooked sheriff who sells sanctuary to outlaws and calls it peace.
For years, men who robbed, murdered, and escaped the hangman’s rope have found safety behind Turner’s badge. His deputies keep the townsfolk frightened, his prisoners walk free, and no honest lawman has dared challenge him.
Then Johnny Irons rides into town.
Still only fifteen, Johnny has already been an orphan, a sheriff, and a deputy. He has faced killers twice his age and learned that wearing a badge doesn’t always make a man just.
This time, Johnny carries no star and answers to no sheriff. He carries only a promise made to the dying—and a Pocket Colt for men who refuse to listen to reason.
But Driftwood is more than a lawless town. It is a trap.
Every handshake hides a threat. Every friendly face may belong to Turner. And as Johnny begins digging into the secrets buried beneath Driftwood’s dusty streets, he discovers that bringing down a crooked sheriff may mean fighting an entire town built on blood and fear.
With his mule and his loyal yellow dog Whiskey at his side, Johnny must decide how far he is willing to go to keep his promise—and whether a boy who has spent so long fighting for justice can do it without becoming the very kind of man he hunts.
Driftwood Justice is the third standalone adventure featuring Johnny Irons, the boy lawman of the Arizona Territory—a classic frontier Western of crooked badges, outlaw guns, courage, and reckoning.
