Life as a tech support agent was anything but exciting. I knew I was itching for an adventure, you know, like a change of scenery, a vacation to Maui, a girlfriend. I wish I could make this stuff up. Because one second I was helping my buddy move his girl’s stuff out of her apartment, and then the next, me and a bunch of other suckers were teleported to an island, turned into freaks, and given magical powers!
What’s worse, this guy who brought us here called himself the host, and told us that we needed to awaken the guardian god of Earth by collecting artifacts, so that humanity could have a fighting chance in this upcoming cosmic battle.
I was afraid, as we all should be. We were being pinned against each other to survive, and only the winning team would get to go back home. But I was determined to leave this island infested with monsters at every turn, and with the help of new and old friends, we were going to.
I made those girls that promise, and they could count on it!
