Tanner Duncan, the mayor of Loblolly, and his fiancée, Dr. Rachel McKenzie, are hours away from announcing their upcoming wedding when Rachel disappears. Tanner is convinced his fiancée’s disappearance is connected to her top-secret Department of Defense grant.
Even though Sheriff Caleb Benton is empathetic, he's steadfast in his decision to wait the mandatory seventy-two hours before opening a missing person’s case.
