Long Way Home

(1999)
A novel by

Originally published by Berkley/Jove in 1999 under the author’s real name, Wendy Corsi Staub, this reissued historical romance unfolds against a turn-of-the-century backdrop. Readers are swept along with immigrant Cira Valentino from Italy and across the vast Atlantic to Ellis Island and New York City, where she falls in love with blue blood Thatcher Montgomery. While this is a work of fiction, the premise was inspired by the immigration experience of the author’s great aunt, Loretta Corsi.

About the Author: New York Times bestseller Wendy Corsi Staub is the award-winning author of more than eighty novels, best known for the single title psychological suspense novels she writes under her own name. Those novels and the women's fiction she writes under the pseudonym Wendy Markham also frequently appear on the USA Today, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Bookscan bestseller lists. Her latest releases are THE BLACK WIDOW (Harpercollins, March 2015); BLOOD RED (September 2015), which launches Mundy’s Landing, a new psychological suspense trilogy for HarperCollins; and NINE LIVES (October 2015), which launches Lily Dale, a new cozy mystery series for Crooked Lane. Her 2005 Wendy Markham romance HELLO, IT’S ME aired as an original movie on the Hallmark Channel in August, 2015.
