Riptide
The ocean is volatile.
It gives birth to monsters ballads are written about while sea life consumes their own.
That’s why I came to landif I’m going to eat, I’m having flesh of a different kind.
For thousands of years I nibbled on sailors, learning to crave the chewy mass of their flesh. Now I'm on a mission to hunt for what they call 'long pig'a delectable, buttery, taste far from the brininess of raw fish.
My first year away from my aquatic haven was hell. More often than not, I hid in the darkness of night, chastising myself for choosing land over the sea. Until I met her and my tastes changed.
Nautica
I’m a monster.
Hidden amongst men in tight trousers and judgement, nothing stops me as I hug the fringe of the world to avoid persecution.
Generation after generation pushed me into the forest. It was safe from humans, from the barbarians who kill and study what they do not understand.
Then my den, littered with bone and bottle, became suffocating and I crept into the open. What greeted me filled my senses with a blistering salt and my veins with hunger. One I cannot control.
The Colony
Without warning, the Colony Carnivale appears under an ominous curtain of blood skies, painted tents, lust, power, revenge, and delicious fear. A place we’ve called home since 1808.
When the sun rises, debauchery gives way to games, thrills, and food rich in sugar to marinate their meat perfectly.
Once the sun goes down, the main tent begins to fill with screams which morph into carnal delight and the oh so saccharine scent of Delirium. That's when ravenous hunger becomes too much to control and we find ourselves luring in our next catch.
At night, it’s a feast, but proceed with caution. We need to eat after all, and the carnivale provides.
Genre: Paranormal Romance
