Murder on a Frosty Night
(2025)(The third book in the Trenwalloe Sands Cornish Mystery series)
A novel by Daphne Neville
Set in Cornwall, Murder on a Frosty Night is a light-hearted, easy-to-read, cosy whodunnit and the third and final book in the Trenwalloe Sands Cornish Mystery Series.
Following the wedding ceremony of septuagenarians Dilly Granger and Orville King, Dotty excitedly tells fellow guests of a writing course at the prestigious Pengillirose Manor Hotel. The course organiser, renowned author Cuthbert Quigley, has invited five professional authors to speak, and Dotty, a self-published author of romantic fiction, has secured the last place.
Thrilled to hear of the event, Dotty’s friends share her enthusiasm and hope it will bring a little glamour to the village to brighten the dark, drab days of winter.
And so it does, but for all the wrong reasons. For no sooner has the course begun than one of the speakers is found dead. Murdered in the hotel library.
Speculation is rife amongst course attendees and villagers as to whom the murderer might be, but clues are scarce and the police are baffled. Hence, Dotty and her friends feel it is their bounden duty to initiate an investigation of their own.
