At Brimfell, even desire has its own kind of magic.
Saskia has spent her entire life believing she’s human. Then a night meant to end with her death goes very differently than planned, leaving her with two bonded demons and more questions than answers.
Welcome to Brimfell Academy, where supernatural students from across the realms come to master their magic, test the limits of their power, and prepare for whatever waits beyond its ancient walls. Brimfell has spent generations teaching its students what they are capable of, but when Saskia arrives, the academy can’t seem to decide what she is at all.
Domren and Sevrik are the demon twins, opposing forces manifested into being at the same moment. Not brothers, but fate-bound from the start, they have shared their magic, their lives, and each other ever since. Their balance has never wavered, but when Saskia is drawn into their bond, it makes all three of them stronger.
When Brimfell’s ancient wards begin to fail, the mystery surrounding Saskia becomes impossible to ignore, and the answers she came looking for may be buried deeper in the academy than anyone imagined.
What is Saskia? Why is their bond growing stronger? How far will Brimfell go to find the answers first? And what happens when wanting Domren and Sevrik becomes more than desire?
