As far as friends and neighbors can see, Paula Hazeltine's marriage is filled with love and laughter. Beneath the surface gaiety, however, Paula lives a life of shame and hurt. She feels she has failed as a wife when she discoveres her husband's secret love affair. Appalled, she struggles with this knowledge in desperate silence--unable to talk about it to anyone, hardly able to cope with it herself. What is Paula to do? She has always adored her husband.
