Darren Dawkins is down on his luck but not broken... yet. A year ago, in the span of a week, his wife left him and he lost his high-paying job. Determined to keep himself and his children afloat, he does what he's always done; he finds a way, unfortunately for his young family, his efforts keep him away from his family when the unthinkable happens...

On what begins as an ordinary night, the world suddenly goes dark. The strange phenomenon is a welcome surprise for opportunistic deviants and the worst elements of humanity.
