Coming To The Hood

Akil “Prince” Tremonte is fed up with his father running his life and everything that comes with it. At twenty years old, he vows to get from under his father by the time he turns twenty one. Deciding that the hood is the only place he could go to truly get out of his father's shadow, Prince does what is needed in order to make a name for himself and to make his own bread. What he didn’t expect, was to find love.

Lila Macneal has struggled more than any one person should. With a father that has checked out on life, she is forced to do whatever she can to make a quick buck. Things are just harder than they have to be in Lila’s life. From her relationship with Darnell, to figuring out where their next meal is coming from, the last thing she needed was to meet Prince. The connection between the two drew them closer, making it harder by the day to not fall for him.

Being from two different worlds, and a mountain of obstacles standing in their way, Lila and Prince are struggling to find reasons to be together. An overbearing father, an obsessive boyfriend, and a fatal incident may just be too much for this young couple to endure.
