A romance writer on the verge of burnout. A ghost who refuses to feel again.

Marion

Moonmist Cape is exactly the new beginning I am looking for. Even if it's only for six months. At least, that's what the clause says when I inherit a cottage with an attached lighthouse from a great-uncle I had no idea existed, in a town filled with supernatural beings, no less. It's the perfect place to hide away from the chaos of the city, work my way out of a brutal writing slump before my next deadline, and ignore a few ominous online messages.

What I don't expect to find is a broody, gorgeous six-foot-two sea captain with an intense scowl that could set ships (and now, my panties) on fire living in the lighthouse. There should be rules against a man looking that good. Even dead as he is.

The moment we meet, he wants me gone. I proudly object, stand my ground, and wave my great-uncle's will under his perfectly sophisticated nose.

He grumbles. I smile.

He frowns. I smile wider.

Too bad, buddy. I'm here to stay.

When I need advice for my book, everything from ships to how to captain one, I ask Cormac (a.k.a. Captain McSexyroo). In exchange, I agree to leave in three months, sign the property over to the town and finish my book in time to meet my deadline. Easy peasy.

As we work together, the undeniable connection between us magnifies into something hungry, possessive, and unexpectedly tender. Every time he looks at me, I feel safe.

And all it does is make me want more.

But the last thing I want to do is drag him into my problems.

Cormac

All I want is to man my lighthouse and simmer alone in peace. The last thing I need is a pretty writer with luscious curves that could tempt sailors to sell their souls to the sea gods and a cheeky attitude who invades my space like she belongs there. She is disorder personified, characteristically clumsy, rambles too much all while peering at me through oversized glasses and brown eyes that hide secrets I want to uncover. It's not like I want to get to know anyone.

Especially her.

Nope.

Not even when her infectious laugh and sweet smile awaken a part of me I long thought was dead.

But when I agree to help her with her research, she proposes a fair deal.

It should be simple enough but it also happens to turn out it’s not what I truly want.

Because I have learned to read the shadows behind her eyes.

There is a change of plans now.

Someone or something is after her.

And I may be dead, but I will haunt them till the ends of the earth to keep her safe.

Marion Lark is under my protection.

And no one will hurt what belongs to me.

Welcome to Moonmist Cape where humans and monsters coexist, gossip travels faster than the speed of light and love finds those who are brave enough to fight for it.

Intended for mature audiences, this coastal small-town romance can be read as a standalone. Expect sweet and steamy romance with cozy vibes, charming (and slightly unhinged) monsters who growl and grumble, with lighthearted laughter that will melt your heart.

Happy Reading!
