Sharps and Flats

(2025)
(The second book in the Detective Inspector Tabordog series)
A novel by

Tabor the wire haired fox terrier is an extremely clever dog.

He has trained himself, with the help of his ever faithful owner, Susie, to solve crimes perpetrated in his village.

When the conductor of the local music society, to which Susie belongs, falls down dead in the brass section of the orchestra during a performance, Tabor immediately suspects foul play.

Using the skills he first honed in book one, A Tooth for a Tooth, he sets out to prove, firstly, that Mr Buttercastle was murdered and secondly how and who might have killed him.

It’s not easy for a small dog without opposable thumbs.

With the help of his canine friends, the assistance of a clever but capricious cockatoo called Patrick, and the aid of Susie and Daddy, he embarks upon a mission to reach the truth before the local pawlice can beat him to it!

Follow Tabor as he digs for clues, sniffs peemails and chases squirrels for evidence.
