It’s supposed to be a fun night out with friends. A chance to dress-up for Halloween and let loose before the stress of finals hits.
Instead, I end up being chased down the street by a real life vampire.
Jaro isn’t really a Vampire, though. He’s an alien–as if that’s more believable–and his kind have been on earth long enough to have indoctrinated themselves into our mythology.
The moment I arrived at his party, he’s hit with my intoxicating scent and loses his mind a little.
When he bites me I should be terrified. Now he can’t get enough of the way I smell and taste, and he insists that I’m his. When he shares his blood with me I should be disgusted. Instead, I can’t get enough of him either.
Now I can feel the connection between us, too, which is going to make finishing my degree a lot harder.
