On the outside Meg Enright is a wife, mother and successful business woman. But looking inside the life of Meg there are shocking revelations.

The real Meg suffers the coldness of her marriage, the defiance of her adolescent son and the mysterious disappearance of her daughter while on a summer trip to the States. When daughter Carrie eventually arrives home, she seems to have undergone a personality change. She announces to the family that she has joined Inner Light Movement (ILM), a quasi-religious cult founded by Matt Hemmings in the States.

Can Meg save her marriage? Does she want to? Will she be able to free her daughter from ILM influence, and will she manage to prevent her son from sliding into a life of crime?

Fighting betrayal, disillusionment and at times, fear, can Meg Enright find the strength to become the person she had always hoped to be?
