A private investigator has to be discreet. His livelihood--and his life--depend on it. So when private investigator Nathan Phillips learned that every thug in town knew about his latest, nastiest case, he was worried. His client, Elizabeth Grey, was old and rich and bitter. Her son, Steve, was worse--a ruthless drug dealer who had disappeared after his near conviction for murder. Now Steven's mother wanted him found. Tracking down Steven was dangerous enough. But then word of the case leaked out and Phillips had the whole underworld gunning for him. If he solved the case, he'd be signing his own death warrant!
