No, it’s not okay. Thanks for asking, though.
The laugh is a menace, a pain in Natalie’s side, and it refuses to leave, voluntarily or by force. But it’s getting louder in spots, and soon enough, the reason for the differing levels in its’ presence becomes clear: someone’s forming a sigil. And nobody’s happy about that, because if it’s completed, it could mean the endgame over, do not pass go, no lives left kind of end.
So of course she’s got to stop it. She is, after all, a magical dowsing rod for the laughter.
Her sphinxes at her side, Natalie travels the countryside, destroying mark after mark, but the strain and pressure it puts on their unit is at times overwhelming. Her males are keeping secrets, Natalie’s become a target, and the whole world is in a state of upheaval.
When the Dark Star gets their hands on her, will it spell the end for Natalie and her band of winged warriors? Or will they beat the odds and save the world from the threat of the Darkness once and for all?
Sometimes the cost of victory is greater than the consequence of defeat.
