The first Bay Corners Halloween Festival is coming, and the three friends are pressed for time. Jazz Montgomery has her hands full with a production of Irma Vep as well as coordinating the new Haunted House attraction - and seeing ghosts is not on her agenda. Bookstore owner Rhia Penrith is struggling with a busy bookstore and troublesome family, including her new accountant, who happens to be her widowed sister. When her gift of touch sight shows her an imprisoned girl, she'll stop at nothing to find out who she is and where she's held. Carmen Acevedo, owner of the Sweet Havana bakery, is trying to figure out what to do with her witch mother's latest "gift" - a real, unalive zombie. The Haunted House behind her bakeshop and Jazz's theatre, and its weird proprietor, Billie St John, add to the mayhem of this very spooky Halloween.
