But when last year's winner, Victoria Clark, is murdered just hours before the competition is due to take place, it falls to amateur sleuth Misty Williams to work out who's responsible.
Was the murderer Victoria's main rival for the prize, Barbara Barnes, or was it Victoria's daughter Katie- who'd grown tired of waiting for her inheritance? Or could it be the jealous wife of Victoria's devoted admirer, Phil Maxwell?
