The quaint town of Wallace, Idaho, has been plagued by the legacies of four unsolved murder cases for more than half of fifteen-year-old Nicholas Foster’s life. As the son of the police chief, he knows the struggle to find these killers all too well. Tired of waiting for answers that never seem to come, Nicholas and his best friends, Emi Gardner and Morgan Cassidy, decide to take on the responsibility of finding justice themselves, despite protests from those closest to them.
