Imani James was a hunter, the kind of game ranger that tracked poachers and protected wildlife reserves in Tanzania after serving in the army for most of her twenties. She was good at her job, the best, but getting information and support from the Intersolar Union to protect Renata, the human colony on Yaspur, was like pulling teeth. So much so, that it reminded her of the corruption and illegal trade that plagued her work back on Earth.
When Imani finds out that Arms Master Vindilus Calgari is leaving Renata to "investigate" a lead on what's been happening to the colony, she grows suspicious. She's done her research. The Intersolar Union series is a long-arc action-packed dramatic romance series featuring a different couple in each book (except for Books 1 & 2). Fans of Mass Effect will love this series!
While previous books could be read out of order, I do not recommend reading Resistance before other books in the series.
