The Swimming Pool

Together with their friends, Chloe and Rick Gillam, Miranda and Ben Stanstead had lived an idyllic, sunshine existence in the south of France. When Ben is killed in a freak accident and Miranda loses their baby she returns to London to bury herself in academic research, her only contact being letters from Chloe. Suddenly they cease, leaving Miranda bewildered, until Rick starts writing to her instead, giving a different picture of her closest friend, one of a vengeful, envious woman. Then Chloe is found dead in her swimming pool, and Miranda must return to France to find out the truth...
