New Zealander Rosalind Cameron learns that she has inherited a share in "Lochlyte", the old family home in Scotland, and, on a sudden impulse, she decides to visit it before it passes out of the family. When Rosalind meets Andrew Ross, the neighbouring farmer who is interested in buying the property, she takes an instant dislike to his arrogant manner - but is it really Andrew she resents or is it Janet Mackay, the girl who expects to share "Lochlyte" with him?
