Bavarian Sunset

Sam Grant must find the vendor of a painting that came up for sale at a London auction room. Painted by a German Jewish artist who perished in a Nazi concentration camp, the artwork had been stolen from a schloss in Lower Saxony in World War II, after which it had apparently vanished until resurfacing fifty years later. Who had possessed it for all those years? As Sam digs through years of cover-ups, the case takes a fatal turn.
