Mark Steel drifted from one place to another, taking odd jobs - and that was no way to get rich. He moved over to the Riviera, where a man named Wolf Masterson offered him a job on his yacht. But there was a mystery about Masterson and his crew, and Steel was thankful to get away with a whole skin. After that he drifted into a relationship with a woman named Rosetta. He could have been rich with her, but even drifters draw the line somewhere.
