What is the history of the mysterious stock of paintings and other works of art in Penzi's antiques shop in Beaucoup-sur-Mer?

Are they mass-produced prints or original masterpieces?

Once again, the turbulent history of the region catches up with Penzi and Felix when they return to the task of valuing the artworks in their antiques shop. Someone’s watching them. He knows more about the provenance of the art than our murder-solving couple do and will stop at nothing to steal anything of value.

At long last, white witch Penzi and her sidekick Felix, the shape-shifting leopard from the Middle Congo, find themselves with the time to return to their task of sorting out the contents of the
brocante next to their house in Beaucoup-sur-Mer.

Years ago, they cleaned and tidied up the place, disposing of the obvious dross. Now, it’s time to arrange for the valuation of the paintings and sculptures that remain. The assessor from the Louvre in Paris offers to give Penzi and Felix his opinion, but someone stops him in his tracks. Who and why?
