Love, One Regency Spring

(2019)
A collection of stories by

This collection of seven novellas presents some very different heroes and heroines, but the common theme is that they all find love in some way related to Springtime. This collection contains:
A Spinster for a Spy - A Lady with a scandalous secret, a Marquess who is also a spy, hidden letters, doubt and misdirection, an undeniable love.
To Woo a Lady - The daughter of a wealthy merchant, Eleanor Faegan has devoted her life to the care of her sickly niece, Tabitha. Having lost her fiance in the war, Eleanor is content with her lot and not interested in romance. But when Doctor Harding comes to see Tabitha, Eleanor finds herself intrigued by him. He's not at all like Tabitha's usual doctor. This man is young, bold and witty, and has a sharp tongue. His scathing opinion of modern mothering echoes Eleanor's. The doctor is entirely too tempting, and Eleanor is afraid that he will throw her off her life's course. When the doctor mysteriously disappears, Eleanor finds herself secretly yearning for him. If only she knew why he suddenly had stepped out of her niece's life - and out of hers...
The Duke Claims His Lady - When Lady Geraldine is informed of her betrothal to Lord William Lacey, she is willing to be an obedient daughter. But when she meets him, he seems more like a brother than a man she will wed - unlike his friend, who makes Lady Geraldine feel flushed. Anthony Caterham, newly Duke of Colberton, is entranced by his best friends betrothed, and cannot comprehend why his friend seems so indifferent to her - until Lord William confesses that his heart is given elsewhere. Can the two friends, each in love with the wrong woman, find a solution before the planned wedding date, without bringing scandal and ruin to Lady Geraldine?
Capturing the Earl's Heart - Lady Isabel is on the run. Never would she have imagined that this was how her day would end, when she decided to elope. Now she is all alone, afraid and hunted. A chance encounter, a broken Earl and a scandalous proposal, will all lead to her happily ever after.
The Perfect Second Chance - Lady Natalia Hartington has avoided society since the day her bridegroom jilted her at the altar, to the ruin of her reputation. Now, her cousin has brought Natalia to London, to support her during her first Season. Natalia worries - what if she should see him again? What will she do? Henry Cavill, Earl of Winchester, has regretted what he did to Lady Natalia for three long years away. Yet he had no choice. Now, his ill father has asked Henry to make it right - to finally tell the truth of it. Henry is more than willing to do so - but will Lady Natalia allow him to explain? And if he does, will both of them find a happiness which has been long denied?
The Duke's Outrageous Daughter - Lady Claudette, daughter of the Duke of Berwick, runs wild on her father's country estate, doing things that no young lady should do. Her mother died when she was very young, and her father dotes upon her. Her aunt has tried to mould her behaviour - and mostly failed. But when a house party is held, to announce her betrothal to man she loathes, desperation strikes, and her attempt to change things is more outrageous than usual. Lord Ambrose Forster has loved Lady Claudette since they first met as children. To watch her wed his brother will be the worst of torture - but what else can he do? Can they, together, save Lady Claudette from a lifetime of misery? Is love possible?
The Heart of a Gentleman - Miss Jennifer Bolton, daughter of Baron Kirkland, is in London for the Season and intends to enjoy her time there, although her mother wants her to marry her brother's friend. But Jenny is in no rush to wed a man she does not love, and hopes that her time in London might reconcile her to her fate. When she meets Sir Nicholas Fenton, her outlook on love changes. Now, she has a choice to make - or will the choice be made for her?
