When her physician finace insists she give up her nursing career when they marry, Marci Westerlund breaks the engagement and leaves for a long overdue visit to her elderly aunt on an island off the coast of Georgia. With time on her hands, she accepts a part time position in the island's only clinic. A crisis on the island will test her ingenuity and nursing skills.
