Interview with the Author

Q - What makes A Patchwork of Yarns special?
A - It's like that insane midnight buffet they do on cruise ships - tons of different food options, everything you can imagine, and it's all delicious. It's kind of a "best of" collection of short stories - all my favorites, in one book. Think of it as the Piers Platt sampler pack!

Q - Why should readers give this book a try?
A - Well, it's a fast read, with a nice mix of humorous, emotional, and action-packed stories. From gripping and tense to funny or sentimental, all of them page turners. A great way to get a sense for the kind of stories I like to write, from historical fiction, to literary, to science fiction, to humor.

Q - Have you written other books?
A - Yup! You might want to check out Combat and Other Shenanigans, the NY Times-bestselling memoir of my year in Iraq as a tank and scout platoon leader. You can get it for free here: http://piersplatt.com/newsletter (copy and paste into your browser).
