Lorraine Cooper, a wannabe Hollywood starlet in the small town of Pine Ridge, New York, works at the telephone exchange during the week and sneaks off to Blue Moon Lake to practice her swimming skills, convinced that one day she'll leave this town behind and become the next Esther Williams.
Imagine her surprise when she meets Herman at the lake, a former movie monster man, practicing his own aquatic moves in his full costume. Not only is he surprisingly sweet, shy, and willing to listen to her dreams of Hollywood stardom, he's also willing to help her rehearse everything from monster movie chases to swoony romance scenes.
Herman has worked in Hollywood, but he's not in costume, something he is sure that Lorraine will realize as they spend more and more evenings together. The brunette bathing beauty seems so starstruck and grateful for his help (and to have someone who listens to her and takes her seriously) that she never questions why she never sees him out of costume or in town. As their acting sessions become real, Herman realizes his heart is on the line. When Lorraine realizes the truth, she'll run in terror, won't she? Even if she doesn't, choosing a monster over a man will mean she can never pursue her dreams in distant California.
Can the aspiring starlet and the sweet swamp monster find their happily ever after, or is this romance destined to end up on the cutting room floor?
Monsters have always existed. They walk amongst us or live in the shadows. Hungering. Craving. Looking for love. Are you ready to meet these swoon-worthy specters and creatures of the night? It's time for monsters...
Moonlight, Monsters, and Movies is a spicy historical monster romance with a steamy happy ending! It is also a Pine Ridge standalone!
Genre: Paranormal Romance
